Description The brief presents differences in national and international population aggregates to support responsible use of the figures. Four specific objectives are pursued in this regard: First, profile the frequency, periodicity, projections, and dissemination of Africa's population censuses. Second, compare the total population of member states across national and international outlets. Third, assess any differences across outlets based on the recency and availability of the country's projected figures. Fourth, determine variations in Member State income classifications based on differences in GDP and population statistics across national and international outlets. Additional Notes
